My mind never worked in straight lines. Nor did my hands.
I grew up finding beauty in the less obvious places, imagining worlds filled with texture, colour and strangeness. I’ve always believed that design could be more than function. It could be enchantment, an invitation to pause, to feel, to dream a little longer than necessary.
The Craft Edits was born from a desire to open up my process. To let you peek behind the curtain, into the sketches on the back of napkins, the mistakes that turned into revelations, the quiet moments where ideas seemed to hum in the air. No technical filters. No formal rules. This is where I put the compass down, close the CAD files, and make space for what truly drives it all. Imagination, raw, playful, sometimes contradictory, but always alive.
This is not a space for perfection. It is a space for the authentic, the daring, the things that vibrate.
I want to share thoughts before they become drawings, materials I fall in love with before they make sense, places that inspire me without asking permission. That strange flower in the middle of the city. The light on a March afternoon. The sound of a chair leg brushing the floor. The smell of a workshop filled with sawdust and paint. How architecture taught me to listen to the silence of forms, and how furniture taught me to make them shout.
Royal Stranger was born like this. Not from strategy but from a creative impulse, a stubborn belief that the pieces we live with can hold personality, humour, and a little drama. It was less about following trends and more about chasing a feeling, the feeling of walking into a room and being surprised, delighted, moved. It was about creating objects that feel like characters, that almost greet you when you pass by, that make spaces feel alive.
